HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN MOUNT TRASHMORE IS OPEN?

Mount Trashmore is built on a closed and capped landfill. The area is not a public park, and continues to be a regulated and permitted site. Our goal is to provide access but safety is our first priority. Access to Mount Trashmore is weather dependent. Check https://www.solidwasteagency.org/mount-trashmore for current trail conditions.

Summer 2024 Access Schedule

  • Tuesday – Friday 9:00am-7:00pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Monday – Closed

Hours will be adjusted in the fall as the sun sets earlier.

HOW WILL I TRACK HOW MANY TIMES I HAVE GONE UP MOUNT TRASHMORE?

As a participant you will have access to the web-based application. In order to track your trips you will need to check-in at the base and track your trip at the top of Mount Trashmore for every trip. Do not track your downward decent.

WHEN DOES THE CHALLENGE END?
